One of the biggest honors for me is when friends and family choose me as their photographer, and even more so when it's for such an important occasion as an engagement! Krissy approached me several months ago about doing engagement photos--I can't believe how quickly their session came up!
Krissy and Jordan had a pretty good idea of what they wanted for their photo session. They live in the city and it's been such a big part of their life that it was natural that be where they take their engagement photos. They chose the St. Anthony Main area, not far from the Stone Arch Bridge. It ended up being a pretty warm evening, but you'd never guess that from their photos.
If you follow me, you know I mostly shoot outdoors in nature or in my clients' homes, so it was fun to get me out of my "comfort zone" and try something new. There's so many great options for backdrops in St. Anthony Main. We started off by the Greetings from Minnesota mural, and then the I Like You wall. From there we headed in the evening heat to the Nicollet Island Pavilion, before taking the last shots by the river with the Minneapolis skyline in view.
